APS Fulfillment, Inc. Reacts to Report Showing Shipping Times Have a Direct Influence on Customer Satisfaction

Miami, FL, July 20, 2015 – APS Fulfillment, Inc. (www.APSFulfillment.com), one of the nation’s leading cost-effective fulfillment and integrated direct mail marketing companies, is reacting to a recent study showing fast shipping times have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, repeat sales, and brand loyalty and that outsourcing fulfillment services significantly increases the shipping speed.

According to a recent survey conducted among 13,000 online customers, fast shipping times influence customer satisfaction and result in repeat sales. The survey found that 87% of those who received their online orders in five days or less are more likely to become brand advocates and repeat buyers and refer more customers via word-of-mouth. If an order was received after more than five days, that number dropped to just 66%. “With major online retailers providing two-day shipping, consumers expect all merchants to deliver products at the ‘speed of now,’” says Charles Aultman, President of APS Fulfillment, Inc. “Those customers are also willing to reward those brands that do repeat business and refer them by word-of-mouth. Conversely, customer satisfaction plummets when merchants do not get products delivered in less than five days.”

The study also found that orders fulfilled directly by the brand were, on average, significantly slower than shipments fulfilled by a third party. In fact, doing so could reduce shipping times by as much as 20%.

“Shipments fulfilled directly by a merchant can be significantly slower than order fulfillment outsourced to a third party, and there is a direct correlation between shipping times and customer satisfaction,” Aultman adds. “Retailers looking for a competitive advantage should consider outsourcing their warehousing and fulfillment services. Doing so allows brands to concentrate on their business, helps reduce shipping times, and enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty.”

Aultman explains that APS Fulfillment is located just minutes from the Port Everglades and is a short distance to the Port of Miami. The company is also close to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and only 40 minutes from the Miami International Airport.

“Because of its close proximity to all major transportation hubs, businesses that use APS Fulfillment, Inc. can have their products received, inventoried, and shipped in just two days,” Aultman concludes. “This not only gets products into the customers’ hands quickly, but also enhances the chances of additional sales and increases brand loyalty.”
