APS Fulfillment, Inc. Reacts to Online Retail Survey and Importance of Quick-Delivery Orders

Miami, FL, August 12, 2015 – APS Fulfillment, Inc. (www.APSFulfillment.com), one of the nation’s leading cost-effective fulfillment and integrated direct mail marketing companies, is weighing in on a recently published online retail survey conducted by ChannelAdvisor, discussing the growing importance of mobile e-commerce and the need for merchants to offer quick-delivery orders.

A recently published online retail survey of more than 200 U.S. and U.K. retailers and branded manufacturers identified a number of significant trends, opportunities, and challenges in the e-commerce space. According to the report, mobile e-commerce is becoming more popular with more than a third (34%) of U.S. retailers seeing 21% to 30% of their web traffic coming from mobile devices. On top of that, a growing number of retailers are offering quicker delivery times. Same-day delivery was offered by 28%, 63% offer next-day delivery, and 56% offer two-day delivery. “This survey illustrates the growing importance of mobile shopping and the need for fast shipping,” says Charles Aultman, President of APS Fulfillment, Inc. “To increase sales, brands need to understand their target audience and how they interact with their brand. It’s one thing to provide on-the-go consumers with a mobile platform to quickly purchase a product, but it’s another to actually be able to quickly deliver that product.”

Aultman explains that retailers need to exceed their customers’ discriminating expectations and deliver their purchase as quickly and accurately as possible.

“To meet delivery promises and ensure order accuracy, merchants need to hire a warehousing and fulfillment company that is close to major transportation hubs and uses the most advanced workflow processes,” notes Aultman. “Being near an interstate highway, international airport, or a major North American export hub is ideal. Add to that real-time shipping solutions that connect a retailer’s online shopping cart and receive orders the second they’re placed—rather than through an outdated batch system—and companies are then able to offer reduced shipping time through quick pick, pack, and ship services. This is exactly what APS Fulfillment, Inc. strives to offer.”
